Through the Yoga Art Store you can purchase original art card sets, framed art cards, high quality professional reproductions of original art works on canvas, sets of stones for balancing energies and gift certificates.  All of the art is original and created by myself.  All  of the mantras are painted by hand as part of my meditation practice and this is a very time consuming process.  Only a limited number of paintings can be made a year. The chakra system is a ladder that takes us from the physical realm up through the workings of the higher mind into the realm of Divine Consciousness.  Each chakra has a specific color, deity images attached to it and a geometric archetype representing one of the elements (earth, water, fire, air, ether, mind).  Each chakra lies within a lotus flower with a specific number of petals associated with an equivalent number of sounds, representing unfolding spiritual energies.  Energies can be represented in different ways:  figuratively (male and female deity images); abstractly (combination of sacred geometric forms); and subtly (Sanskrit alphabet and mantras, in verbal, written and thought form).  These type of paintings are also called yantras; the form in which the energies are held.  It is also a  visual tool used during meditation.  The mantras in this series come from the Sri Lalita Sahasranama, the 1000 names of Divine Mother.  The mantras chosen are complimentary to the element represented.  This original set includes seven 5x5 cards, each one representing a different chakra.  The back of the Art Card is blank.

Ganesha or Ganapati, the son of Siva and Parvati, is one of the most revered deities.  He is so important, that no important activity is started without paying homage to Him.  He is known as the Lord of Wisdom and Remover of Obstacles.  In other words he is the obstacle to obstacles.  There are many names that accompany his many forms.

High quality professional reproductions on canvas can be purchased.  They are stretched onto a wooden frame.  The color extends to the sides so additional framing is not necessary.  I paint all the mantras by hand as part of my meditation practice.  These take a long time to do as the mantras are written over and over again until the accumulation of paint creates a raised texture adding depth to the image and imbuing the art piece with positive and calming energy.  Visit the Art Galleries to view these works in a slideshow.
