MSF Travelling Expo
May To August 2006

MSF Canada created a mobile exhibition which introduced the general public to the various obstacles to treating people in developing countries.  The exhibit helped to raise awareness, fundraise and recruit. This innovative and educational project was designed to provide visitors with the experience of going on a mission with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) to one of four  countries.  Each country deals with the realities of a neglected disease:  HIV/AIDS in South Africa, malaria in Sierra Leone, Chagas disease in Bolivia and tuberculosis in Uzbekistan.  The exhibit was encased in a 48-foot trailer and toured to eight cities in Ontario and Quebec between May and August 2006.

The final city of the tour was Toronto and it coincided with the International AIDS Conference.  The wrap-up party was on August 17th, 2006.

I travelled with the exhibit and took all of the photographs.
